FP Engineering – precision, quality bespoke engineering

FP Engineering opened in 2013 as a family run business doing what I have always enjoyed doing but this time not for a machine shop but for myself.

I enjoy programming machinery to make parts as well as using the good old fashioned manual machines that I have used since doing my trade as a youngster.

The business has grown since then but remains a business where people can pop in, discuss design and clients can see the process / machinery that produces their parts.

Small or large batch sizes

We have capacity and machines that can run 100-1000’s of parts seamlessly using barfeeders and computer programming technology. At the same time many of our cleints start out with 1 or 10 parts as prototypes initially to ensure that the part / product is fit for purpose.

We support this process and can often advise what is cost effective in this design process.

Exact client specification

Clients approach us with all sorts of parts, some they have designed and have technical drawings, giving us the detail such as tolerances, uses and what other processes the part will undertake such as powder coating or plating…. whereas others will bring in samples or broken parts that need to be repaired or replicated.

We welcome all these as we pride ourselves in making parts ready for end use.

Machine technology

We have a large number of machines covering different aspects of production. We have milling and turning machines, mainly computerised but manual as well.

The machine capabilities make high end production parts or bespoke parts to almost any size and material. We also have added welding to our repertoire

Accurate and fast turnaround

With machine tooling specific to what is needed, we can manipulate the feeds and speeds of the machine to ensure parts that are accurate and made in less time.
